A Holy Blood Transfusion

Continuing our discussion on the blood of Jesus, I want to mention that when we accept the shed blood of Jesus, we get a holy blood transfusion of sorts. Accepting His blood means we get what His blood does and what His blood is.

For example, the blood of Jesus is pure, therefore His blood makes us pure. His blood is righteous, and it has made us righteous. All that Jesus accomplished is ours. He paid for it with His blood, but we must claim Christ’s finished work for ourselves in order to enjoy it. What grace obtained, by faith we now claim.

The blood purchased salvation, healing, provision, protection, victorious living, and eternal life. As we claim them for ourselves, they will become a reality in our lives.

You are what the blood says you are. You have what the blood says you have. To deny this is to belittle and even cancel out the power of the sacrificial death of Jesus. Accept it and walk in the power of the blood of the Lamb of God.

Over the next few days, we will look at the qualities of the blood of Jesus. The doctrine of the substitutionary, sacrificial, atoning blood of Jesus is foundational to our faith, so be sure to check in daily for this valuable study.

And Jesus said to them, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you believe in Me as Savior and believe in the saving power of My blood which will be shed for you], you do not have life in yourselves. John 6:53 (Amplified Bible, AMP)
