Spiritual Eyes To See
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Ephesians 1:17-23 (KJV)
This passage talks about our natural eyes being enlightened to see spiritual things. When things look bad in the natural, we can look to God and His promises with spiritual eyes and see Him working. We can look beyond what’s going on, and God can open our hearts to see Him moving on our behalf.
In the Old Testament, there were seers who looked into the spirit realm where they could see answers to problems. As New Testament believers, we too can be seers. By looking to God’s Word and to the Holy Spirit, we can view things we never saw before. As we ask the Holy Spirit to show us, by the Word we can begin to see situations in the spirit realm turning around, and then we will see it change in the natural. In actuality, the spirit realm of God is greater than anything in the natural- and it is more real than the “real” world. As we speak God’s Word by the Holy Spirit, we can pull the unseen things of the spirit realm into the natural realm.
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13 (KJV)
As we take God at His Word and declare it, the Holy Spirit will do great things for us. First, get in the Word and “see” it in the spiritual realm, and then, declare it until you see the manifestation in your life.
