The Song of the Lord- Part 1

The song of the Lord refers to a song that the Lord sings over you. Ephesians 5:19 calls it a spiritual song. Jesus sings His song of love over us to tell us of His great love. It is an everlasting love and His song to us and over us is everlasting. The song of the Lord can be released in the midst of corporate worship or in individual times of worship.

I am truly his rose, the very theme of his song. I’m overshadowed by his love, growing in the valley! Song of Songs 2:1 (The Passion Translation, TPT)

We are the very theme of His song, and He overshadows us with His love. God releases His presence to us as He sings over us.

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. Psalm 32:7 (KJV)

The Lord is our Hiding Place and He protects us. He compasses, or surrounds, us with songs of deliverance. He sings over us, and then we can sing back to Him what he has sung over us. This is one way the Lord releases deliverance to us- deliverance from poverty, pain, sickness, accidents- anything we need delivered from. :

  1. God sings over us, revealing Himself, His love and His will for us.

  2. In response, we sing our worship to God, releasing our faith in what His song has told us.

  3. As we worship, God is working for us to meet our need.

The song of the Lord cuts through all the noise so we can hear from Him and get His direction. When we hear the song of the Lord, we experience God in a more personal way. As we hear God sing over us His song, we respond in worship and He brings deliverance. Therefore, our victory is in His song. As He sings to us, He is drawing us nearer to Him, and making His presence known. It pulls us deeper into the realm of God where the supernatural manifestations of God occur.

As God sings to us and we sing to Him, the love songs just keep flowing, and miracles happen.
