It Can Be Done!

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” Mark 10:27 (NKJV)

I love God. He is so cool. When people say something can’t be done, He loves to prove them wrong. When someone tells us something can’t be done, we can be sure that it can- when it is something God has promised or told us to do. If it lines up with God’s Word, it is not impossible.

When man tells you that you or a loved one has an incurable disease or disorder like MS, Parkinson’s, ALS, Hashimoto’s, or even autism, God’s Word tells us they are wrong. No matter the diagnosis, God is able to heal it all. No diagnosis is more powerful than the Word of God. No germ, disease, bacteria, injury, or infection can win over the Word.

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, Philippians 2:9-10 (NKJV)

His Name is the name above all names, and at His Name, every knee must bow. Every sickness, injury, illness or disease must bow its knee to the name of Jesus.

Have people told you that you’ll never be successful? Have you been told you will never get out of debt? That you’ll never have enough money? That your ideas will never work? Have you been told that your children will never get off drugs? Have you heard that your loved ones will never be saved? Have people told you that your dreams will never come true? Ha!!! They are lies! All lies!

If you have heard any of these things, or something similar, rejoice! If man has said it is impossible, God says it isn’t! Some of the most successful people have had to ignore folks who told them they could not do what was in their hearts to do. We’ve all heard stories about people like Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein, who were told early in life that they were not very smart. I’m sure you’ve heard about Michael Jordan being cut from his high school basketball team. I’m not certain about their relationship with God, but it proves that most people who say something is impossible usually don’t know what they are talking about. And if you know God, your opportunity for success is even greater than these people- it is guaranteed.

Why do some born-again people fail when God promises success? I don’t claim to have all the answers, but much of the time, people give up too soon. When things take time to turn around, it can become discouraging. They key is to always believe God is working behind the scenes. Other people fail to be consistent in their faith. One day they are quoting scripture and believing God; the next day they are questioning if they heard from Him. Inconsistency sabotages our faith. The bottom line is God believes all things are possible with Him, but do we?

Jesus said all things are possible with God. If He said it, we can take it to the bank. With people, things may be declared impossible, but with God there is no limit to what can be accomplished. Isn’t that encouraging? You can get that promotion. You can get out of debt. You can raise godly children. You can have a happy marriage. You can lose weight. You can own your dream home. You can preach the gospel around the world. If God has placed it in your heart, it can be done. So, discard those negative predictions, and choose to believe what God has promised you.

Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.” Mark 10:27 (New Living Translation, NLT)
