Stand Still And See- It Ain't Over Yet!
This is a re-post of a previously published blog. It was originally released on November 7 under the title of “Stand Still and See,” but due to current events, I believe it bears reading again. God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.
And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. Exodus 14:3 (NKJV)
You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.” II Chronicles 20:17 (NKJV)
Both of these verses record the Lord telling His people not to fear and to stand and watch Him work on their behalf. They did not have to fight the enemy in either scenario. Instead God handled it supernaturally for them. This is a lesson for us to take to heart today.
If you have been praying for righteousness to win in our election and for justice and goodness to reign in the United States, let these verses speak strongly to you. This is not a battle that we have to fight- God is fighting for us. We simply have to remain in faith and watch the victory unfold.
It is critical that we do not let up, regardless of what the news may report or what others may be saying. Do not allow the circumstances to sway you. God has made promises in His Word and through His prophets, and we need to stand on those promises. The people of God in this nation have been praying and seeking God and He is faithful to answer. He has a covenant with our forefathers and He is not a covenant breaker. No matter what you see or hear, let your words be words of faith only. Do not speak defeat. Do not give in to the lies of the enemy.
If you think that it is foolish to keep claiming victory when the media and others are telling us otherwise, let me remind you what faith is. Faith is speaking those things that be not as though they were. It is not speaking what we see. According to Hebrews, faith is the evidence of things not seen. Being in faith means we speak victory when circumstances say we are not going to win. Faith means we rest, speak the Word, and watch the powerful hand of God work miracles.
If you spoke words of doubt and defeat, I encourage you to repent of those words and get back on track. This is not the time to lose hope- it is the time to be expectant. God will not disappoint us. It is His will that righteousness prevail.
I do not sit in the office of a prophet and I do not claim to be one, but I do know in my heart that God is going to use this in a big way. Corruption and the dark, evil dealings that have been going on in this nation must be exposed and dealt with. And it is not pretty when that happens. It is like turning on a flashlight in a dark room and roaches are exposed and run for cover. That is what is happening right now. In order for us to move ahead and have a righteous government and fair elections in the future, the corruption must be shown and uprooted. To fail to do so would leave the door wide open for a repeat of this travesty.
So, dear ones, do not lose heart. Don’t be fearful- instead be excited. You are about to see the most amazing turn-around in U.S. history. God is fixing things. He is righting the ship. And we have a front row seat to the show. So, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord!
