That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection… Philippians 3:10 (KJV)

Jesus said that He is the resurrection and the life. To know Jesus is to know resurrection and life, because that is what He is. Because He is the resurrection and the life, He can raise us up and give us life. The resurrection of Jesus shows that there is no case that is hopeless and no problem that God cannot and will not fix.

Because Christ lives, He guarantees everyone who believes in Him will live, and even those who die physically can be raised. Christ has risen, and we who are in Christ have been dead, buried, resurrected and seated with Him in heavenly places. Jesus and His resurrection power show us that we are positioned above the storms of life. Nothing could hold Jesus back. And even when we’re going through a tough time, nohing can hold us back. The resurrection guarantees us a better life, now and forever.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11 (KJV)

As we know, speak, and walk in that resurrection power, sin loses its hold on us, and sickness and disease must leave. Resurrection power is the Spirit of God, the life of God, the power of God. We will not be defeated by anything in this life. The resurrection of Jesus Christ shows us that the greatest power is God’s power, and nothing can overcome it.

The resurrection proves that Jesus is who He claimed to be: the Son of God, the Savior of the world, the Christ, the Messiah of God. As we put our faith in Him, He saves us and keeps us. His resurrection proves He is the only Way, the Truth and the Life- only by Him can we come to the Father. The resurrection of Christ is what separates Christianity from all other religions in the world. Jesus is alive, and the false gods are dead in the ground.

Because Jesus lives, we live also. Rejoice, for truly Jesus is alive forevermore, and we will live with Him for all eternity!
