Bring Others Along With You
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another Romans 12:10 (KJV)
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Philippians 2:3 (KJV)
Life is not about how great you are, who knows your name, your accomplishments, your bank account, or being the best in your field. After a while time has a way of turning these things into faded glory.
What life is really about is the people you show love to. How did you treat people? Were you prideful or humble? Were you rough with people or kind? How did you make them feel when they were in your presence? Did you teach and train them or did you terrorize them? Did they want to hang out with you or did they simply want to get away from you?
Life is short, time runs out, and our days are numbered. Make the most of each encounter with people. This means don’t just be your best, but bring others along with you so they can be their best too. It’s a lot more enjoyable to live your life with others rather than living just for yourself and by yourself. Don’t seek to exclude people- include them. Bring them along with you, and when you all reach the top, you will find the summit is more enjoyable when you can experience it together.
