Keep Building!
And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire. Nehemiah 2:13 (KJV)
As the book of Nehemiah opens, we see a picture of destruction. The gates of Jerusalem were burned. The walls were broken down. The city was a shambles. What did Nehemiah do? He took a survey of what was left. And they rebuilt upon what was left.
My friend, you may feel that you have lost everything, but if you look at things the right way, you’ll find that you have a lot left- maybe more than what you lost. Let me explain.
You’re still alive. You still have God. You have hope and experience. You learned some things, and along the way you gained wisdom and knowledge. So, take what you learned and use it to rebuild your life. Make use of what you experienced, your encounters with God, relationships with people, and what you have done in life. You can take all those precious things and use them to reconstruct your life. With God’s help, power, wisdom and direction you can begin again- and it can be even better than it was before.
So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives. Romans 8:28 (The Passion Translation, TPT)
Nothing is wasted. Use every experience to become a better person; to gain new vision. faith, perseverence, and maturity. You have more left than you think. You have more left than what you;ve lost- you just need to see it in the right way. Look at it from God’s perspective and know you can use what you have to rebuild. You’ll be happier and better for it. Keep building!
