Inside Triumphs Over Outside

Inside Triumphs Over Outside

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27 (KJV)

We are surrounded by distrations every day. As a result, we are tempted to focus on what is outside of us rather than what is in us. As Christians who study and carry the Word in us, it is imperative that we look at Christ in us, the hope of glory. The Word that is in us is greater than the chaos in the world.

And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:35-39 (KJV)

We must zero in on the powerful, good God that lives in us and choose to take authority over bad things that may be happening around us. Like Jesus in the boat, there may be water, waves, and winds all around us, but we cannot be shaken by them. They are outward things. We can remain calm inside and when we release what is inside of us and it gets outside of us, that inner calm then affects our outward circumstances, creating a calm in them as well.

Don’t let what is outside of you get inside you. That is the devil’s objective; to use what is around us to steal the good things God has placed in us. It is time to fight and keep fighting. Fight hate with love. Fight anxiety with peace. Fight sadness with joy. Focus on Jesus in you to conquer what is going on around you. Speak of the Greater One in you, not the problems surrounding you. Yes, the problems are real, but the God living inside of you is more real.

As we focus on Who is in us, we won’t be defeated by what goes on around us. Who and what is in us will empower us to to overcome what is in the world.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. I John 4:4 (KJV)

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ. II Corinthians 2:14a (KJV)
