Live Like You're Thankful

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Romans 12:1 (New International Version, NIV)

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. Hebrews 13:15 (NIV)

How can we really thank God for who He is and what he has done for us? God is life. God has given each of us life. And for those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Ssavior, He has given us eternal life; the very life of God.

In response, how will we live our lives to say thank you to the Lord? Will we love others? Will we pray for others? Will we love God with all our hearts? Will we live with passion for Jesus, making the very most of the life we’ve been given? Or will we waste the life we’ve been given thinking only of ourselves and our wants and needs?

The finest way we can live a life of thank you to the Lord is to be our best, give our best, do our best- at all times in all things. We are to give, love, laugh, and enjoy life all for the glory of God. We are to win the lost, heal the sick, cast out demons, pray for people’s needs to be met and meet them ourselves when we are able. We are to worship God all day every day. In short, we are to do what Jesus told us to do.

The life we have is God’s gift to us. The way we live our life is our gift to God. Give your life to God and God will increase it. He will make it of more value and worth than you could ever do on your own. Do it all for the glory of God and let your life be a thank offering to Jesus.
