Song of Songs- Part 2: Anointed to Love Jesus

The song of songs, which is Solomon's. Song of Songs 1:1 (KJV)

In Hebrew, Song of Songs means the best of the greatest songs. The greatest song you can sing to Jesus is the one from your heart, a song of love to Him.

Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee. Songs of Songs 1:3 (KJV)

Jesus Christ is the name of Jesus, which means Savior and Christ, which means the Anointed One and His Anointing (John 14:1). As we speak the name of Jesus Christ and sing that name, we’re releasing the Anointed One and His Anointing, which causes us to love Jesus. We release His Anointed Person and His Presence into our day and lives.

The anointing enables us to fall in love with Jesus even more so we can express our love to and for Jesus in greater and greater measure.

My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. Song of Songs 2:10 (KJV)

Jesus speaks to us to come away with Him, and as we yield and say yes, we are caught away with Him in intimate fellowship.

O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely. Songs of Songs 2:14 (KJV)

We come away to be with Jesus in the secret place. Why a secret place? Because a secret place is a place of intimacy, like the bedroom of a husband and wife. That is where you pour your love out on one another. Jesus is inviting us to come close to Him and feel His touch and hear His voice.

So, the Anointed One and His Anointing s released, and we find freedom to have a close relationship with Jesus- one that takes us closer, higher, and deeper into the One we love. We will experience a new and beautiful relationship with Him.
