Determining Your Future- Part 3
Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you. Numbers 14:28 (KJV)
It will be just as you say it will be. Israel murmured against God and so it happened just as they said- they did not enter the Promised Land.
And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me. Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised. But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness. And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness. After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise. I the Lord have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die. Numbers 14:26-35 (KJV) emphasis mine
Has God promised us something that we have not seen come to pass? Maybe our own words are hindering God in doing what He has promised. God promised to take Israel into the Promised Land. He had already given them the land (Joshua 1:3), but it was up to them to possess it. When God told them to possess it, He was telling them to dispossess the current occupants; the giants living in the land. God saw them as giant slayers. However, Israel did not listen to God and did not see themselves as God saw them. And instead of speaking God’s Word over their situation, they spoke how they saw themselves in the natural. The way they saw themselves is what they spoke about themselves. And what they spoke is what they received.
And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. Numbers 13:32-33 (KJV) emphasis mine
God’s prophetic perspective will give you vision to see how God sees you. As a result, it will cause you to say what God says about you. The way you see things is the way you will say things. See right to say right. Speak God’s Word to take what is yours according to the promises of God.
Get in the Word, and see yourself through God’s eyes. Then speak God’s promises so He can bring them to pass. When we see and say what God sees and says, we will become faith giants for God, and we will conquer the enemy and dispossess them from our Promised Land.
Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it. Jeremiah 1:12 (Amplified Bible Classic Edition, AMPC)
