Pursue And Recover All

So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.I Samuel 30:8 (NKJV)

Most people would agree that the devil tried everything he could against us in 2020. For far too long we have allowed the devil to get away with stealing, killing and destroying (John 10:10). He has no authority to do this in our lives and in our land- Jesus took his authority away and gave it back to us. Instead of allowing the devil to attack, we need to go on the offensive and attack him first. We need to pursue him with every weapon in our arsenal and enforce the victory we have over him. 2021 should be the year that we hunt down the devil and pound him into tiny bits.

If he is illegally bringing sickness, disease, lack, emotional distress, fear, and mental torment, then we need to take him to court- the court of heaven. There is a court in heaven. God the Father is the Judge. When the enemy and his demons try to come against us, they are doing what is forbidden and must be dealt with. We can enforce the victory by appealing to the court of heaven. We take it to God and ask him to deal with it. And we speak the Word of God to the enemy, like Jesus did in Matthew 4. And we can apply the blood of Jesus over our lives.

We don’t have to be defeated or constantly in a battle. We need to prevent the enemy’s attacks by speaking the Word of God instead of words of defeat. We need to agree with the Bible instead of the devil. When we do this, we are pursing him. And when we praise the Lord, it is like nails on a chalkboard to the devil- he cannot stand it when we praise the Lord. It is the utmost punishment for him to hear us glorify God. We can wage warfare against him with our praise and worship.

And joy is another thing we use to pursue and beat on the enemy. He hates for us to have joy, peace, or anything good in our lives. Therefore, when we have joy, he throws a fit. And he especially detests it when we laugh- specifically when we laugh at him. Because we know he has no authority unless we give it to him, we can laugh at him and his attempts to come against God’s anointed (us).

As we do these things, not just once in a while, but daily as a lifestyle, we are taking the battle to the devil. We are pursuing, and we shall recover all that he has attempted to steal.
