It's Here!!!

Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.” Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. The burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs. In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow. And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it. Isaiah 35:4-8 (New International Version, NIV)

This passage speaks of a time of refreshing and a time of signs and wonders. It is kicked off by a rescue mission from God Himself. It speaks of God bringing judgment and payback to the wicked, which is followed by a period of rest and revival, marked by supernatural manifestations of God’s power.

We’ve probably all heard people say something like, “I wished I lived in the days of the early church,” or “I wish I had been around to experience the revival at Azuza Street.” We look back at times when a powerful move of God was experienced and we long for that time. It is very good to study past revivials and moves of the Spirit- it builds our faith. And once we have seen what God has done in the past, we should believe for it to manifest in the present.

I believe we are already seeing this passage from Isaiah come to life before our very eyes. The next Great Awakening has begun. The church has been aroused from her sleep, and is preparing for the huge influx of souls that are already being brought into the Kingdom of God. Tent meetings and other events are taking place and multitudes are coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

I encourage you to reread the passage above and consider how it is taking place right now. These are exciting times we are living in. We should be ready to win the lost, pray for the sick, and raise the dead. Things are just getting started, so get ready- the show’s about to begin! Let’s go change the world!
