Giving Others Grace- Part 1

But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:15 (New Living Translation, NLT)

Aren’t you glad God doesn’t get mad at you when you mess up, are weak, or act immaturely? He doesn’t stop loving you or using you. And He doesn’t hold it against you when you ask for forgiveness. Where sin abounds, grace does much more abound. When we’re not enough, God’s grace is more than enough.

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. II Corinthians 12:9 (New Living Translation, NLT)

God’s grace covers our failures, shortcomings, and everywhere we are deficient. You see, God extends as much grace as we need to make it, to overcome, to change. Stop trying to change yourself. Stop struggling to change others, or your problems and circumstances. Instead, begin to release the grace God gives you. Begin to give it to others. As God forgives you, forgive others. This is giving grace to others. Let love cover things- not ignore things, but love people as they are so they can change.

When you fall or fail, God gives you grace to be successful. As you extend the same grace to others, everyone wins.
