Inner Strength

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man. Ephesians 3:16 (KJV)

God wants to give us inner strength to handle anything we face- whether in our spirit, soul, body relationships, finances, etc. When we’re stronger inwardly, the outward things won’t wear us down or take us out. We’ll be able to overcome rather than be overcome. According to Ephesians, in the glory of God we can obtain strength and the power of God by His Spirit- not by our flesh.

Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6 (KJV)

God’s Spirit dwells in us a born-again believers. All we need is in Holy Spirit, Who is in us. He can cause heaven to manifest in our lives. He brings strength to our inner man. When we have inner strength, we can stand in the midst of trouble, we can go through the fire without harm and not even smell like smoke. Inner strength will sustain us so we don’t fall to temptation, fail in adversity, or lose our peace in trouble.

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Jude 1:20 (KJV)

As we wait upon the Lord, we go from strength to strength, getting stronger and stronger. As we spend time in the presence of God and feed upon His Word, the stronger our spirit man becomes. As we pray in tongues, our inner man is built up. As we speak God’s Word, strength is released in us, empowering us to walk in supernatural strength and peace. As we worship, this strengthens us and brings us into intimacy with the Lord. As we do these things regularly, we are made stronger in the Lord and in the power of His might.
