Above It All

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:6 (KJV)

This says that when God raised up Jesus and exalted Him at His right hand, those of us who have our place and position in Christ were raised up also. We’ve been made to sit together with Him in hevanely places in Christ. If we are seated with Christ, that raises some interesting thoughts.

Is Jesus Christ under anything? Is worry, sickness, demons, lack, sin, defeat, misery etc. above Jesus? No, of course not. Christ is above it all, and that’s what God has done for us. God doesn’t want us to be under care, depression, illness, pain or any such thing. Hell has no authority over us. Our position or place is not to be under, but above. We’re to reign in life from a seated position, meaning we reign based on the completed work of Christ. We rest in His victory, and from a heavenly position we enforce that victory.

God doesn’t want our lives to be hell on earth. Instead, He wants our days to be as days of heaven on earth. And they will be just that when we speak God’s Word and do His Word, thus enforcing and enjoying the God kind of life.

And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath. Deuteronomy 28: 13 (KJV)

As we keep all things under our feet, we will go from victory to victory! We are seated with Christ, above it all!
