Keep It In Front of You
Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. Habakkuk 2:2 (NKJV)
Do you have a list of dreams, desires, and goals for your life? The world calls it a bucket list. What do you want to do during your time on earth? What do you want to accomplish? Where do you want to go? How do you want to live? If you haven’t given it much thought, then it’s likely that you’re just floating through life without clear direction.
In order to see anything come to pass in our lives, we have to make it a focus of our lives. If we want to accomplish certain goals, we have to keep them in front of us so we can do what we can to make them happen. Even if we cannot make them happen by natural means, having them in front of our eyes can remind us to make them a subject of prayer and confession.
Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Psalm 37:4 (Amplified Bible Classic Edition, AMPC)
First of all, understand that God gave you certain desires and dreams for a reason. Don’t think that it is silly or selfish to have dreams for yourself. God places desires in our hearts and He wants us to apply our faith towards seeing them come to pass. So, go ahead and make a list of all your dreams, desires, and anything you want to do in life. Don’t eliminate anything. Write it all down. Don’t limit God by thinking you can only do things within a certain budget. Don’t limit God by including only things you think you can make happen on your own. Put it all down.
Then keep that list in a place where you see it all the time. When you see it in front of you all the time, you’ll be reminded to pray over those items and confess the Word over them. You’ll be reminded to take steps of faith to see certain items on the list come to pass. When opportunities arise for you to do things related to your goals and dreams, you’ll walk through the doors God opens because you’ll have those things uppermost in your mind.
When we write things down, look at them daily, and speak the Word over them, they come to pass. It is both a natural and supernatural phenomenon. In the natural, we are more aware of those things and can make natural efforts to bring them to pass. Supernaturally, when we confess the Word over them in faith and thank God that they are done, He moves to bring them into reality.
Don’t discard your dreams, but rather make a list and keep it in front of you. You’ll be amazed at how many of your desires manifest before your very eyes!
