Order In Our Lives

For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking…. Titus 1:5 (NKJV)

When we follow God’s Word and the Holy Spirit, it brings order to our beings, thus order to our lives. The Godhead has an order and works together because they are One and are in agreement with each other in who They are and what They do.

Living right, according to God’s direction, brings order to our lives. Things work out better when we walk in the peace of God, which brings order. The devil cannot get access to mess things up, cause confusion, or cause things to get out of line.

Well-established priorities help us to order our lives. Put God first, others second, and ourselves after that. If God is not first, then everything else is out of order. We put God first by seeking Him, loving Him, and obeying Him. Then, as we love, help, and serve others, it brings peace and harmony to our relationships. And as we do these things, it will bring order and well-being to our own lives.

Our own lives are positively impacted by putting God first and preferring others over ourselves. We can order our thoughts, words, and actions based on God and His Word. His Word brings order to every area of life- relationships, health, finances, family, work, church, school, government… everything. God’s Word is our checklist. As we follow the Word and do things in His divine order, our lives will flow the way He intends.

When something in our lives gets out of order, we use our God-given authority and speak the Word of God to bring things back in order- in Jesus’ name. And never forget the power of prayer. Prayer empowers us to keep ourselves and our lives in order.

When our lives are in order, our steps are ordered by God. His Word and His Spirit will lead us into His perfect will.
