Door To A Supernatural Life
And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. Acts 9:17 (KJV)
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all. I Corinthians 14:18 (KJV)
The Apostle Paul was filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence that he spoke in tongues. Being filled with the Holy Spirit opened the door for Paul to live a supernatural life with God. What do i mean by a supernatural life? I mean that he was able to experience and do things that were beyond his own natural ability. He wrote two-thirds of the New Testament. He saw Jesus and Jesus talked to Him and gave him great revelations. He preached the Gospel with signs following. He performed miracles, cast out devils, and was raised from the dead. He endured persecutions and many imprisonments. In II Corinthians chapters 4 and 6, he gave a list of the things he endured. Naturally speaking, no one could endure what he did. He did it by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
According to II Corinthians 12, he had visions of Jesus and was caught up into the third heaven. He operated in the nine gifts of the Spirit. Paul knew things supernaturally by praying in tongues- things that he didn’t know in the natural. He knew them by the Holy Ghost. He went forth in boldness, establishing churches. There are so many supernatural things that marked the life and ministry of Paul.
He had supernatural power to live for God and to overcome every attack from the enemy. He was able to run his race and finish his course. He even had supernatural ability to lay his life down for Jesus when he was beheaded by the Emperor Nero. He was received up into glory and is now living in the presence of God- his reward for living a supernatural life on earth.
As we pray in tongues, it releases the supernatural power of God, enabling us to do the works of Christ and even greater works. The more we pray in tongues, the more the Lord will teach us His Word and His ways. And the more we pray in tongues, the more we will see God’s workings in our lives- fulfilling His promises and demonstrating His power. He will manifest His presence and we will know God as a person. What a supernatural way of life that is!
