You're a Prophet to the Nations

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV)

And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the Lord, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle. And the Lord came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease. But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp. And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp. And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them. And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the Lord's people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them! Numbers 11:24-29 (KJV) emphasis mine

In Acts 2, we see the manifestation of Moses’ words. God’s Spirit came upon all of them who were there, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. Such prophesying has been in operation throughout the church age, which is still in effect today.

Joel 2 and Acts 2 says that God will pour out His Spirit, and we can all prophesy, speak forth God’s Word, and speak in tongues. And we see more about it in Jeremiah 1.

Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. Jeremiah 1:9-10 (KJV)

God will touch our mouths and put His words in our mouths. He sets us over nations, kingdoms, etc. to root out, pull down, destroy, and throw down, as well as build and plant. By speaking God’s Word, we can pull down and root up evil, and we can enforce and establish God’s will and kingdom on earth.

Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it…. For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land. And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee. Jeremiah 1:12, 18-19 (KJV)

As we speak God’s Word to make wrong things right, to release God to work in the earth, to stand up against evil and stand up for righteousness, God makes us as a defended city, with iron pillars and brasen walls against satan his works, and evil people. They may fight against us but they will not prevail against His church, the people of God. God is with us to deliver us . As we speak forth God’s Word, He will fight for us, and darkness and evil will be put down and defeated. Our weapon is God and His Word.

As we prophesy, proclaiming God’s Word, the crooked places will be made straight, the rough places will be made smooth, and we will see a new and better day where righteousness rules, peace prevails, and blessings abound. By our words, God will be glorified, Jesus will be established as Lord, and the Holy Spirit will be loosed to bring freedom.

Keep prophesying and proclaiming the Word of the Lord!
