Words Fail to Tell

Christ is indescribable. Words fail to tell of who He is and all He is because He is so much more than words can say. Yet, we are exhorted to know, love, and adore Him, now and forever. Here is a glimpse of who Jesus Christ is.

Christ is our:

  • Savior (Matthew 1:21)

  • Salvation (Acts 4:10-12)

  • Life (Colossians 3:4, John 15)

  • Hope (I Timothy 1:1)

  • Peace (Ephesians 2:14)

  • Wisdom (I Corinthians 1:30, I Corinthians 1:24, Colossians 2:3)

  • Righteousness (I Corinthians 1:30)

  • Sanctification (I Corinthians 1:30)

  • Redemption (I Corinthians 1:30, Colossians 1:14, Revelation 5:9)

  • Baptizer in the Holy Ghost (Matthew 3:11, Acts 1:4-5 & 8, Acts 2:1-4)

  • Authority (Mark 16:14-20)

  • Access to God (Ephesians 2:18, John 14:6)

  • Healer (I Peter 2:24 & numerous accounts in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John)

  • Shepherd (John 10, Psalm 23)

  • Joy (John 15:1, Nehemiah 8:10)

  • Strength (Philippians 4:13)

  • Ability (Philippians 4:13)

  • Deliverer (Colossians 1;13)

  • Victory (II Corinthians 2:14)

  • Praise (Revelation 5:6-14)

  • Inheritance (Colossians 1;13)

  • Power (I Corinthians 1:24, Colossians 1:15-17)

  • Lord (Philippians 2:9-11, Romans 10:9-10)

  • God (John 1:1-3 & 14, Colossians 1:19, Colossians 2:9)

This list is just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much to know about Jesus Christ; it is never-ending. He is eternal (John 1:1-3 & 14, Colossians 1:15-18, Revelation 4:11) and we can never come to the end of who He is. How wonderful to think that we will have all of eternity to learn more and more about Him!
