God Quickens
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11 (KJV)
Quicken is a word used frequently in the King James version and it means to give life, make alive, fill with life. The New Living Translation (NLT) often translates it revive or renew.
You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth. Psalm 71:20 (NLT)
When we experience hard times, God will restore us to life again and lift us up. God’s quickening power will do this when we ask, believe, and receive it from God’s hand.
So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name. Psalm 80:18 (KJV)
Then we will never abandon you again. Revive us so we can call on your name once more. Psalm 80:18 (NLT)
God quickens us to be able to call on Him. As we do, we are revived even more to call on His name again.
My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word. Psalm 119:25 (KJV)
Hebrews 4:12 says that God’s Word has living power to quicken, or life, us. God’s Word is alive and powerful. As we listen to God, He will quicken, or bring His Word to our hearts and minds to revive and renew us. It brings the instruction of God so we know what to do and have the life of God in us to do it.
Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way. Psalm 119:37 (KJV)
The journey can get hard and long, but God will revive us with His Word to keep walking with Him.

God’s love will revive us . His love never fails or ends. And His love empowers us to love.
In your faithful love, O Lord, hear my cry; let me be revived by following your regulations. Psalm 119:149 (NLT)
Doing God’s Word, and not following the world’s counsel, will revive us , refresh us, renew us, restore us, and bring us rest.
See how I love your commandments, Lord. Give back my life because of your unfailing love. Psalm 119:159 (NLT)
When we love His Word, God’s love gives back our lives and all we lost. We are quickened and restored.
Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble. Psalm 143:11 (KJV)
When we turn to the Lord, we are quickened, or preserved. He restores us from despair. As we speak the name of Jesus, things turn around for us.
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Romans 4:17 (KJV)
No matter what we need, God will quicken and make us alive. What may have seemed dead will be revived. Jesus’ resurrection is our guarantee. God “lifed” Jesus and God will “life” all that concerns us.
