Our Red Sea Moment Has Arrived

Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land. So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side! Exodus 14:20-21 (New Living Translation, NLT)

Our Red Sea moment has arrived. God has been blowing on our land and those of us who have been enslaved (and didnt even know it) are passing through and being delivered from the hand of prideful and wicked rulers. Just as God gave Pharaoh many opportunities to repent, so has He given the arrogant leaders of today ample time to repent. And they have refused. And, as He has been releasing us from bondage, they have doubled down and pursued us with hatred and malice.

Do not fear. The winds of change are blowing, and God is making a way for us to pass through on dry ground to safety, but they will be defeated and perish in their vengeful pride. Stay in faith and refuse to be afraid. God is watching over His own and is keeping us from the judgment that is coming to those who will not recognize His lordship and authority. Calamity will be theirs, but renewal, peace, and freedom will be ours.

Partner with God in faith, raising the staff of the Word over the situation. And, what we read about happening in Moses’ time, we will experience here and now. The parting of the Red Sea is not something to fear- at least not for those who are on the Lord’s side. It is something to experience with awe and amazement and rejoicing. God is delivering His people again, and great will be the celebration!

“Your right hand, O Lord, is glorious in power. Your right hand, O Lord, smashes the enemy. In the greatness of your majesty, you overthrow those who rise against you. You unleash your blazing fury; it consumes them like straw. At the blast of your breath, the waters piled up! The surging waters stood straight like a wall; in the heart of the sea the deep waters became hard. “The enemy boasted, ‘I will chase them and catch up with them. I will plunder them and consume them. I will flash my sword; my powerful hand will destroy them.’ But you blew with your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters. “Who is like you among the gods, O Lord— glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, performing great wonders? Exodus 15:6-11 (New Living Translation, NLT)
