Don't Leave a Trail of Hurt
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Acts 10:38 (KJV)
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. I John 2:6 (KJV)
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. I John 4:17 (KJV)
As we go through life, what are we imparting to other people? What are we leaving behind? When we leave their presence, are we leaving behind blessing or a curse by the words we spoke to them, over them, or about them? Did we leave them better or bitter? Did we make a deposit in them that will impact and empower them? Did we hurt them by speaking negative, critical words? Did we mistreat them? Did we lift them up or tear them down? People come and go throughout our lifetimes. How will they remember us, with good feelings or bad?
Let’s instill God’s Word in people. Share God’s Word, God’s love, God’s touch. As we are kind and do good to others. we will leave them with a positive picture of us in their minds, as well as a true image of who God is. Our actions should show them the truth of how good God is. Jesus went about doing good and healing those who were oppressed, or harassed, by the devil. Let’s give people a taste of Jesus. Let’s allow them to experience God’s presence when they encounter us. Let’s demonstrate The Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit to them to make their lives better. Share God’s Word, even a prophetic word if the Lord gives you one for them, so they have something to hold onto.
Don’t leave a trail of hurt, but bless people by leaving a trail of healing and kindness. And when you do, you’ll blaze a trail that others want to follow.
