Made Whole in His Presence

And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Matthew 8:2-3 (KJV)

This leper came to Jesus knowing that Jesus could heal him. What he was not sure about was if He would heal him. Jesus said, “I will,” and touched him and made him whole. In that instant, this man went from a social outcast to a contributing member of society. He went from a life of quarantine and isolation to acceptance and relationship with those he loved. And, he went from the stigma and shame of being unclean to being made 100 percent whole.

One touch from God can change you and your life forever. That’s why it is so important to get in the presence of God. The devil knows that if he can keep you from getting to Jesus he can keep you from getting what you need. But, as a child of God, you have access to the throne room anytime, so you can be in Jesus’ presence anytime. When you do, you will receive what you need.

One touch from the Master’s hand produces forgiveness, healing, restoration, and gives you double for your trouble (see Job 42:10). Therefore, it is important that we don’t allow anything to keep us from time with Jesus. One touch from Him is life-altering. He changes us from sinners to the righteousness of God, from cursed to blessed, from broken to whole, from headed for hell to bound for heaven.

So, draw near to Jesus today, feel His touch, and be changed forever.
