Don't Look for Revenge
God is our vindicator; He is righteous, just and fair.
Arise, O Lord, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded. Psalm 7:6 (KJV)
God will take what is wrong and make it right, but we must go to Him and let Him do it. We must allow Him to do us right when others treat us wrong. We don’t need to take matters into our own hands. If we go to the Lord and tell Him what’s wrong, He will handle it much better than we can. When we try to fix things ourselves, we just make things worse.
We must wait for the salvation of the Lord, praying and giving Him time to work. When you see wrongdoing in the earth or people being mistreated, cry out to God for justice. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.
I have been mistreated myself and got in the flesh and tried to take care of it on my own, which just created more problems. At other times, I used wisdom and gave it to God, and He took care of it. God is righteous and He does right. It may take some time or it may happen quickly, but rest assured, God will handle your situation.
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. Psalm 43:1 (KJV)
David, the sweet psalmist, went through many traumatic things. We see him expressing his heart’s cry for justice to God throughout the Psalms. He trusted God to vindicate him. As a result, God made him to rule over his enemies.
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
God will be exalted over man, and God will lift us up and exalt us over every wrong person and every injustice. God makes crooked places stright and wrong things right. He is our mighty Vindicator because He is completely just and honest. When He rights a wrong, He does it perfectly to create the best possible outcome for everyone involved.
