Pour Out Your Heart Before God

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. Psalm 62:8 (KJV)

Their heart cried unto the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself no rest; let not the apple of thine eye cease. Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street. Lamentations 2:18-19 (KJV)

The things we see in our world, our churches, our families, should move our hearts to pray. These verses speak of continual intercession, prayer on behalf of others. Weeping and crying over hurting people is to pour our hearts out to God. What hurts them should be painful to us so that we cry out to God for Heaven’s help and assistance.

Pouring out our hearts like waters refers to allowing intercession to pour out freely from our hearts. As we do, we’re getting God involved- the One who can do something about the issue. Don’t stop praying. Don’t give up, but pray up the situation. When we don’t have words to express how we feel, we can pour our hearts out before God through the intercession of tears. God will take our broken hearts, tears, and prayers, receiving them as an offering. He can utilize them as a weapon against the enemy to defeat him. God will give victory.

God is faithful to bring about what we pray about when we pray in faith. He gives answers to questions. He provides solutions, and we will see how great our God is as He manifests and demonstrates His great power.

The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18 (KJV)

What moves us, moves God. As we pour our hearts out before Him, He will answer and heal every broken part. So, when you don’t know what to do, pour out your heart in prayer before the Lord. He will come through and do what only He can do.
