Room to Love

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. I John 4:8 (KJV)

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:5(KJV)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (KJV)

How big is the heart of God? It is infinite, meaning God has room in His heart for everyone. God so loved the world- that’s all of us- that He gave us Jesus, His one and only unique Son. God continues to bring another human being into the earth, and another, and another because He wants to love more and more people.

According to Romans 5:5, God’s love is shed abroad in our hearts when we get born again. This means that we have the capacity and the ability to love even when we get hurt or lose someone we love. This means we can love again. We can find it in our hearts to love and love again because God IS love, and God is in our hearts.

There’s no fear in God’s love because He is love and His perfect love casts out all fear. it dispels fear of hurt, fear of loss, etc. So, we are free to love as God loves. As God finds it in His heart to love and continually add to the people He loves, we can find it in our hearts to do the same. This is because when we found God and asked Him into our hearts, His infinite love and His infinite ability to love entered into us. We can love like God loves: unconditionally and everlastingly. His love is a love that lasts and never fails. That love is in us and makes it possible for us to obey Jesus’ commandment: “Love one another as I have loved you.”
