The "God Atmosphere"- Part 2
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. I John 4:17 (KJV) emphasis mine
This verse tells us that we are to be like and release Jesus in this world. This changes atmospheres.
Everywhere Jesus went, He would change the atmosphere. In Luke 7:11-17, we read that He raised the dead son of a widow from Nain, It was a funeral, and Jesus changed a dead atmosphere to a living one. He did it by being there and speaking life, thus taking authority over death. We can do this too.
In Mark 5:1-19, Jesus set a mad man free from a legion of demons in the region of the Gadarenes. The man couldn’t be bound with chains and it was a terrible sight to see the man living among the tombs. We don’t know for sure why he was in that location, perhaps he had lost a loved one and was driven by grief to live among the tombs. It is possible that he allowed a spirit of grief to open the door to demonic possession, or maybe he was involved in something else that gave satan access. Regardless, God heard his cry, and Jesus changed the atmosphere from bondage to freedom.
In Mark 4:35-39, Jesus calmed a raging storm by speaking peace to the winds and waves. he changed the atmosphere from troublesome and terrifying to calm and peaceful. He put things back in order.
As we mentioned before, we are to be like Christ and release Him into the world. In our born-again spirit, we are exactly like Christ for He lives in us (II Corinthians 5:17)and confirms His Word with signs following (Mark 16:20). As we use our God-given authority by speaking Jesus’ name and God’s Word, we use our words to create a “God Atmosphere” wherever we go. We walk like Jesus walked, transforming the atmosphere around us. we can command atmospheres to be at peace and to come into divine order. This applies to the inner atmosphere within us, as well as the atmospheres in our homes, our workplaces, churches, cities, governments, nations- in every area of life.
We can change and set atmospheres as we take authority, speaking over situations and bringing heaven to earth. We carry the “God Atmosphere” within us and we can release it on earth. In so doing, we enforce God’s will on earth as it is in heaven.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10 (KJV)
