Fight for Your Prophetic Word

This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; I Timothy 1:18 (KJV)

Holding faith, and a good conscience… I Timothy 1:19 (KJV)

If God has given you a prophetic word, fight for it. Stand in faith until you see it come to pass. When there’s a prophecy given to you, it makes you a target for the enemy. That’s why you’ve been fought so hard.

God has spoken a prophetic word to you and for you, which empowers you. Walk in that word by fighting the good fight of faith, by claiming that prophecy as yours. Speak it forth to see it come forth. We must contend for the Word of the Lord. It is ours for the taking. Just because God gave you a word, doesn’t mean it will automatically come to pass. We must cooperate with God to see the manifestation of each prophetic word.

Use prophecy like a sword. God spoke it, which is one side of the sword. When you speak it, then it becomes a double-edged sword- to cut the enemy, to do warfare. We must contend for a prophetic word, and enforce it so it will come to pass. We enforce it by speaking it forth in order to bring it forth. When we speak, God watches over that prophetic word to bring it to pass.

As we hold fast our faith with a good conscience, we will be able to walk out our prophetic words. With each step we take, we get closer and closer until we see the prophecy fulfilled. Keep fighting. It’s just a matter of time for the fulfillment of God’s prophetic word. Something good is coming to you!
