Wherever you are, do the best with what you’ve got. Be your best self for God and others. Whatever you find for your hands to do, put your whole heart into it. The place where you are now is not where you will always be. As we’re faithful and diligent, God has a way of bringing us out and bringing us in to what He has planned, promised, and provided for us. Do your best and God will give you the land. The Lord brings us out, through, and In to something new, better, and just right for each of us.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. I Corinthians 10:31 (KJV)

Faithfulness and excellence are hallmarks of the mature believer. As we are reliable and consistent, giving our best effort at all times, God finds us to be useable and promotable. And motive is important too. When our intent and reason for doing our best is to bless the Lord, and not for personal gain, we are operating with the heart of God.

Do your best unto the Lord. Rest in Him. God will see to it and make sure that you receive His very best. Simply do your best and let God do the rest. Your Promised Land awaits.
