The End to Dead Ends

For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: II Corinthians 1:8-9 (KJV)

When what we face and go through seems beyond our ability to handle, or when our strength seems insufficient for our circumstances, it is tempting to despair and lose hope. We may even be facing a death sentence like a terminal disease, or going through a divorce, or fighting an addiction that threatens to kill us. We may be in danger of losing our lives to the violent actions of others. We all face life-threatening situations at times that are impossible for us to fix. However, they are not impossible for God for with Him all things are possible.

Even if we face death, whether it be our own death or the death of a loved one, we must know that God can even raise the dead. He can also give life to a seemingly dead situation, such as dead relationships, dead dreams, dead finances, or dead emotions. God is the God of life. He can breathe life into any dead thing in our lives, and it will live again.

Stop trusting in the arm of the flesh. Instead, trust in the arm and hand of God. Watch God stretch out His arm and move His hand to give you the miracle you need. Flesh will fail us, and when it does, trust that God will prevail. With God, there are no dead ends, because He is life.
