God Will Make it Up To You

And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea, And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them. And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew. So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid. But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid. Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went. John 6:16-21 (KJV)

The disciples were in a ship and when they had rowed about three and a half miles, they encountered a great wind. This wind slowed their progress and delayed them from making their way across the sea to their destination. Then, Jesus came by, walking on the sea. They received Him into the boat and immediately, the boat was at their intended destination.

What happened? It was supernatural acceleration. They were translated to their destination and God made up for their lost time. When we’ve been in a storm, we can look for Jesus to show up. When we receive Him into our situation, He can work a miracle and speed things up to make up for lost time. He can make it up to us, whether it is in our health, relationships, finances, energy, etc.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. Amos 9:13 (KJV)

Of course, this verse is speaking of the last days and the great end time harvest. However, we can also apply it spiritually to our lives. It speaks of supernatural acceleration and harvest in our lives. We sow and then reap the harvest immediately. How can this happen? It’s because in the spirit, there is no time so there are no delays. As we learn to operate in the spirit rather than in the natural, we will see quicker results. As we sow and believe for quicker results, we can live in a continual cycle of sowing and reaping. We have promises of increase and harvest, and God is faithful to bring them to pass.

Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. Job 8:7 (KJV)

This is a prophetic promise to Job. In Chapter 42, we see that promise fulfilled.

And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. Job 42:10 (KJV)

God can bypass time and go backwards and make up for past losses and trials. You might say His promises are retroactive. Retroactive refers to something that extends in effect to a prior time. For example, a law that is retroactive may be put in place today but applies back to times before it was enacted.

God will do this now in our time. All that has been lost to prior generations will be paid back to us. God will increase us to make up for past losses, plus He will accelerate things- all because He wants to make up to us what has been stolen. God is the great Accelerator and Increaser.

  • 100 fold increase: Mark 4:20

  • 1,000 fold increase: Deuteronomy 1:11

  • 1 million fold increase: Ezekiel 16:7

God will accelerate things for us and He will increase us because His desire is to make it up to us for everything we’ve been through and to more than compensate us for everything that’s been lost. No matter what it is, God will make it up to you.
