Favor

I've heard it said that favor isn't fair and that favor will put you where you can't put yourself.  The other day God told me "I gave you favor when you didn't know a lot about favor- or were even aware of it." Looking back, I can see that was true.

Years ago, I was working in manufacturing and was moved to a different job and was given the day shift.  If you have worked in manufacturing, you know that most of the workers want to be on the day shift.  And I didn't even have enough seniority to be on day shift!  And the supervisor had me doing easy work- writing out job procedures.

On another job, I was working as a temporary employee in one department.  God caused a supervisor from another department to request me and I was moved to his department.  Once I was in that department a short time, I was hired on as a permanent employee for that company.  That was favor moving me from one deprtment to a department in which they hired people for fulltime work.

As I look back, I can see that God even gave me favor with teachers in elementary and middle school.

I walked in favor even in college.  I was able to obtain a doctoral degree in a much shorter time that normal, saving me not just time, but money too.

This same favor I walk in is available to you.  God is no respecter of persons.  What He has done for me, He will do for you. He will give you favor in finding the right mate, job, house, church, friends, finances, calling, and so forth.  God will give you favor for people to notice you, bless you, and promote you.

Proverbs 3:4 (KJV) says:

So shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

As we love and follow God, as well as love and serve people, God will give us favor, which will bring about good success.  So, believe, speak, and expect favor and God will bring it to pass.
