The "Yet Praise"

The "Yet Praise"

Are things going well for you?  Is all of life perfect and sweet?  If so, thank God for His goodness in your life!  If not, read on…

Habbakuk 3:17 (KJV) says:

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines, the labor of the olive shall fail and the fields shall yield no meat, the flock shall be cut off from the fold and there shall be no herd in the stalls.

Does this ever sound like a bad day, bad month, bad year…!  However, Habbakuk 3:18 goes on to say:

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

As we begin to find our all in God, and “yet praise” Him, we will discover that God is life and joy and praise, in spite of what is happening- or not happening.

Continue on and read verse 19 of Habbakuk 3:

The Lord God is my strength and He will make my feet like hind’s feet and He will make me to walk upon my high places.

As we praise God, we find our strength and help in God.  He will cause us to rise above all we are facing to walk upon the high places.  Nothing will be able to keep us down.  As we make the “choice to rejoice,” knowing no problem is bigger than our God, He takes the cicumstances that the devil meant as stumbling blocks to bring us down, and turns them into stepping stones and stairs to take us higher in Him.

The more we praise Him, the higher He can take us. And that's a great reason to rejoice!
