Take The Time- Part 2
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
Today we’re continuing our discussion from Ecclesiastes 3:1-9 that talks about a time for everything. If you’re too busy to pray, go to church, to love God and people, then you’re too busy.
A lot of people hurry and worry- and then burn themselves out. We must force ourselves to slow down to prevent from wearing down and eventually breaking down. God wants us going up in life, not breaking down. After all, He is the glory and the lifter up of our heads.
It is a necessity for us to take time to care for ourselves. We have only one life, one body, one mind. Take some time to do things you enjoy. When it really comes down to it, someo fo those things that seem so urgent can actually wait. Yes, we all have responsibilities, but don’t let them crowd God, people, and healthy self-care out of your life. We have to make room in our schedules for the truly important things in life: God, ourselves, and the people we love.
After everything is said and done, the only things that will really last are the things we did for God and for others. All else will pass. So, take the time to live, give, love, and laugh. Take time to know God and His Word. You will be more fulfilled and happier. Take the time to get to know people. Take time to learn and do new things. Take time to dream, hope, imagine, create. Your life will take on new meaning.
If you will take a good look at your activities, and reduce, or even eliminate, unimportant and unproductive things, you and your life will be transformed. You will be more satisfied and fulfilled. It is time to take the time to take your life back.
