Good Things Are Coming

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (New International Version, NIV)

Expect good, not bad. I know the devil likes to bring one bad thing after another to try to steal our hope, expectation, confidence, and positive attitudes. When he strikes, we must remember that God is with us and is on our side. We can recall what He has done for us in the past and know that He will not only do it for us again- but even better.

We can’t dwell on all the bad, instead let’s think on what’s right in our lives. And when things go wrong or don’t turn out like we thought, we must hold onto hope and believe God is up to something good. He waits, looks and longs for the opportunity to do us good and even surprise us- especially when we don’t deserve it or have a way to earn it. This is because it is not your goodness or my goodness that makes good things happen- it’s His goodness. God is good and does us good.

So, my friend, get your hopes up. Begin to dream again because, with God, all things are possible. He’s got bigger and better things planned for you. God is love and love believes and expects the best. So, get in agreement with Him and know the coming year will be your best year yet.

Our paths are getting brighter and brighter- right up until the time Jesus raptures us! Keep looking up, because God is smiling down on you with His light, love and favor. You’re getting closer to what you’re believing for each day you live and each step you take. Good things are coming.
