God Knows How To Get You There
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Genesis 50:20 (KJV)
We all go through things- the many twists and turns we take in life- whether by the choices of others or our own. Regardless, when bad things happen TO us, God is working good FOR us. Not everything will be easy, but the struggles of life can toughen us, strengthen us. And how would we appreciate how good God is if we never experience anything adverse?
When people think and speak evil of us, God’s thoughts about us are good (Jeremiah 29:11). His thoughts and plans are always bigger than ours. He has the big picture in mind. When all we can do is just take the next step by faith, God is working out His good plan. At a certain point in the journey, we begin to see all the puzzle pieces coming together and God’s plan and purpose come into view. Like Joseph saw in the end how everything he went through served a purpose- it brought his family, as well as many other people, to a place of protection from starvation. He saw God’s master plan was bigger than himself or his situation. God always has other people besides us on His heart- to save and help them, and He uses us to bring His plan about.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (KJV)
It is truly amazing how God takes things that the enemy intended to be bad and uses those very things for good. Although what may have happened to you was unjust, wasn’t fair, and you don’t understand why it occurred, know that you will experience a divine turnaround in time. You will see God’s justice, and God will take every wrong thing and make it right. And it is likely that you will have the upper hand over those who wronged you- in order for you to extend mercy and help them- like Joseph did for his brothers. In so doing, those people will see the love of God in action and it will be a testimony to them. God is working all things out after the counsel of His will and good plan- for your good and for the good of others as well.
Your losses will turn to gains. God will turn your trials into triumphs. Your sorrow will change into joy. Your mourning will become dancing. Your weeping will turn into laughter. Where you are now is not where you will end up. God has bigger and better plans, taking you from bad to blessed, from wronged to right, from lack to abundance. You may not know how it will happen, but God knows how to get you there. You will see God’s goodness in your life.
