"In Christ" Realities

There are multitudes of promises for the born-again believer; the person who is in Christ It builds our faith when we revisit those promises regularly. Today, I have listed a number of things that are ours in Christ. With each one, I have included supporting scripture for you to refer to. Jesus died for us to walk in these things, so it is important for us to reflect on them and be thankful for them.

  • We are new creations. II Corinthians 5:17

  • We are righteous. II Corinthians 5:21

  • We are wise. I Corinthians 1:30

  • We are prosperous and every need is met. Philippians 4:19, Deuteronomy 8:9

  • We have ability. Philippians 4:13

  • God has a good plan for our lives. Ephesians 1:1-14, Jeremiah 29:11

  • We have been blessed. Ephesians 1:3, Deuteronomy 28:1-14

  • We have authority. Luke 10:19, Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:17-19, Ephesians 1:22

  • We have an inheritance. Ephesians 1:11, Romans 8:17

  • We can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4

  • We are kings who reign in life. Romans 5:17, Revelation 1:6

  • We are priests to God and others. I Peter 2:5,9, Revelation 1:6

  • We have the mind of Christ. I Corinthians 2:16

  • We have all things that we need. I Corinthians 3:21, II Peter 1:3

  • We have divine protection. Luke 10:19, Matthew 16:18, I John 5:18

  • We’ve been saved by Jesus’ blood. Ephesians 1:17, Hebrews 9:12, 14

  • We have healing and health. I Peter 2:24, I John 1:2

  • Our prayers are answered. John 15:16, John 16:23-24

  • We are the children of God. Ephesians 1:5-6, Romans 8:15-16

  • We are assured of our salvation. Romans 8:15-16, I John 5:13-19

  • We have freedom and boldness to enter God’s presence. Hebrews 10:19-22, Ephesians 2:18

  • We are free from condemnation. Romans 8:1

  • We are forgiven. Ephesians 1:7, I John 1:9

  • We are victorious. I John 4:4, I John 5:4, Romans 8:31, 37

  • We are one in Christ. Galatians 3:28, Ephesians 5::29-30

  • We have God’s Word. II Corinthians 1:20, II Peter 1:4

  • We have been given gifts. Romans 12, I Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4

  • We are accepted. Ephesians 1:6

  • We are loved. Romans 8:35-39

  • We have a covenant with God. Hebrews 7:22, Hebrews 8:6

  • We have been brought out to be brought in. Colossians 1:13, Deuteronomy 6:23

  • We are free. Galatians 5:1, John 8:31-32, 36

Really, the blessings we have as children of God are almost too numerous to list, but this is a good start. Take some time today to meditate on how good we have it in Christ. It will remind you all over again how good our God really is.
