Clear Away Confusion

Clear Away Confusion

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. I Corinthians 14:33 (KJV)

Whenever you feel confused, know that it does not come from God. When confusion enters the picture, back away from the situation, pray and let peace be re-established in you. And use the Word as a compass to direct you through the situation.

Several years ago, I was deciding whether to go back to school or not. There were some people who were telling me that I already had enough schooling. Somehow their advice just didn’t feel right to me, so I kept seeking and waiting on God for the answer. He led me to the first chapter of Proverbs.

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning. Proverbs 1:5a (KJV)

That was it- I knew I had the answer. Peace reigned in my heart and there was no confusion. The answer was clear and I knew quickly what to do. As a result of the additional studies, I received a greater revelation of God’s Word that the Lord knew I would need in the years to come.

But what saith the answer of God unto him? Romans 11:4a (KJV)

God has answers for us. We find answers from Him as we look in His Word. The Word of God is always a sure answer. He will speak a Word to us in our hearts to direct us, but it will always line up with His written Word. As we rightly divide the Word of God, answers will come and they will come clearly and quickly. God’s Word brings answers and eliminates confusion.
