In The Light- Part 1
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. I John 1:5 (KJV)
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105 (KJV)
God is light. When we accept Him, we become children of light. Then, we get into God’s Word, which gives us light and shines light on our path- guiding us down the right path to walk down. As we walk in the light, our path gets brighter and our days get brighter, filled up with the light of the glorious Gospel and the presence of God.
God’s light will give us life. The light of life brings healing, freedom, provision, all of God’s promises fulfilled and fellowship with Him. As we spend time with the Light (God) in the Light (His Word),His light enters us and by the Word and Spirit of God, our spirits are illuminated. Thus, our hearts are enlightened where we see and know truth by revelation. God illuminates our spirits, giving us a snapshot of what He has for us; a vision for our lives.
The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. Proverbs 4:18 (New International Version, NIV)
We walk in this vision daily as we walk in the light of God: His Word and His presence. There may be darkness all around, but in us the light of God shines, and we see brighter days and all God has for us. Our lives get brighter and better, full of more revelation. God’s light overcomes and conquers darkness so His glorious plans come to fruition. We rise and shine for the glory of the Lord. He rises upon us, and we live in and live out our brighter latter end- all because our Father, the God of Light and Life, gave us brighter days to enjoy.
