Those Positively Powerful P's

Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness. Psalm 37:3 (The Passion Translation, TPT) emphasis mine

Quiet your heart in his presence and pray; keep hope alive as you long for God to come through for you. And don’t think for a moment that the wicked in their prosperity are better off than you. Psalm 37:7 (TPT) emphasis mine

Even in a time of disaster he will watch over them, and they will always have more than enough no matter what happens. Psalm 37:19 (TPT) (This verse speaks of provision and protection).

I like these verses. They are very helpful and encouraging. They bring to mind many words that begin with the lettter p. They tell us that no matter what is going on, we need to fix our hearts on God’s promises. He makes us secure because He is faithful. We are to quiet our hearts in His presence and pray. We can’t be so distracted where we can’t pray. As we wait on God, we keep hope alive by His promises, His presence, and through prayer, knowing He will come through.

In all we go through, God is watching over us. As Jehovah Jireh, God our Provider, He is looking ahead to situations in the future and making sure we have what we need. He is El Shaddai, the God who is more than enough. Regardless of what comes our way, we have God’s promises, presence, power and provision, with prayer as a weapon. Therefore, we can rest in God convinced that He is protecting us all the way.
