The Father's Heart

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (KJV)

The Father’s heart is one of love, and it is so big that He has room in His heart for everyone. He holds a special place in His heart for each and every one of us. His heart is so big that it cannot be measured, and it will take eternity for the Lord to show us how big His heart is.

As His children, God loves and treasures us. His love is everlasting, meaning He will never stop loving us. He is always thinking of us, watching us, and even watching over us. We are so special to the Father that He desires and wants to talk to us, manifest, and reveal Himself to us. He wants to be involved in every part of our lives.

God’s character, His names, His Word and His acts reveal just what kind of heart the Father has. Look at the vast number of stars, the innumerable grains of sand on the earth. God’s heart is bigger yet. He shows us the size of heart by His endless giving. We may actually never understand everything about God, but we can receive all He gives to us from His heart of love.

The Lord wants to reveal His heart to us. We must listen and spend time in His presence. As we do, we will begin to know more and more of His heart. He has secrets that He reveals to those who are close and intimate with Him. The more we know and love God, the more of His heart the Father can trust us with.

The heart of the Father is one of love because He is love (I John 4:8). As He shares His heart with us, we will know Him more and more.
