Taking Turns
There’s a principle in Scripture that when we turn to God, He will turn to us. Regardless of what we face, our answer is always found in turning to God.
And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. Exodus 23:25 (KJV)
When we turn to God, we turn away from sin to serve the Lord. As a result, He has promised to bless our food and water and take sickness away. As we turn to God, He will turn things around in our health.
Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. Psalm 103:1-5 (KJV)
Blessing the Lord refers to praising Him, and it helps us remember God and His benefits. In Hebrew, the word benefits means treatments. As we turn to God in praising Him and remembering His good treatment of us, He will forgive and heal. He will bring redemption, lovingkindness and tender mercies. When we experience the Lord’s love and mercies, it satisfies our mouths with good things, or good words. And as we speak forth good things, our youth is renewed like a strong eagle that soars above problems and overcomes them.
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV)
As we turn to God and call on Him, God will answer us and show us His might by the great things He will do for us. We can call on God anytime and experience His salvation, power, deliverance, protection and provision. Like I said before, when we turn to God, He turns to us- and that’s always beneficial to us.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 (KJV)
As we choose to come under God’s authority, in turn, we receive authority over the devil. We can resist, or stand against, the devil because we are under God and He gives us the power and authority to overcome.
As we serve, praise, call on, and submit to God, we’re turning our hearts to Him and away from all that would draw us from Him. When we do, God turns to us and He turns:
Sickness into healing and health,
Trouble into His good treatment,
Problems into answers,
Defeat into victory
So, always be turning to God. He will turn to you and there will be turn-arounds in your life.
