Music Gets Us Where God Is

Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. Psalm 33:3 (KJV)

I believe worship is the highest and holiest form of music- because music came from God and is intended to go back to God through our worship. In heaven, they sing, cry, and shout, “Holy! Holy! Holy! Worthy! Worthy! Worthy! Glory! Glory! Glory! To God and Jesus forever!”

Music can take us into the highest heaven where God is. It can usher us into God’s presence. Music creates such a flow of God’s Spirit, like a river, that can take us deeper and deeper and deeper into the very throne room of God. Music helps us worship in a way that God has designed to help us get in His presence.

Once a person has experienced the throne room presence of God in worship, they will never be satisfied with the status quo. The heart of man cries out for God and God cries out for our worship. Worship satisifes and brings fulfillment to our hearts because it brings us close to God.

Music helps us sing to God- songs in the Spirit, new songs, prophetic songs, etc. Worship music helps us to get where God is- so we can ejoy God as He enjoys us.
