Look for the Father's Love
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. I John 3:1 (New Living Translation, NLT)
Our heavenly Father loves us. His love moved Him to reach out to us, causing us to be born of His Spirit. Now, we are born of God and from God Himself, and we have become His children.
The Lord fills our lives with Himself. His love and beauty are all around, making life worth living. God wants us to know how much He loves His children. We do this by seeing His fatherly heart in what He has said in the Word and by His actions towards us. He does good for us every day. His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, is the Spirit of Love and expresses the Father’s heart to His children.
Begin to see the good, not the bad, in life. See your Father’s love shining through, turning the dark days into bright days. God’s love turns ashes into beauty, gives us the oil of joy for the spirit of mourning, and dresses us in the garment of praise in place of sadness. He makes us trees of righteousness that He may be glorified.
God’s beauty is all around you. Begin to look for it; seek it and you will find it. You’ll recognize how God blesses you and fills your life with good things. He pours His presence into your day, fulfills His Word, and turns bad days into good ones.
If you’ll only look for it, you’ll see the Father’s love all around you!
