Peace For Every Circumstance
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 (KJV)
Are you in a difficult situation that you cannot leave or get out of right now? Do you feel trapped by circumstances? We all go through things where we really want out but we know we must remain until the time God opens a door. The best way to get through it is to remain at peace.
It sounds simple- maybe too simple to be true, but it is. Don’t spend your time being upset, focusing on the negative aspects of where you are, and trying to figure out when God is going to deliver you. All that does is make it worse. Seasons usually have an expiration date, meaning that, at the right time, you’ll move on. The key is to do your best to keep a positive outlook and enjoy where you are as much as possible. You are going to be there, so you might as well make the most of it. Live through it and get through it by keeping your peace.
No problem or difficulty is worth losing your peace. And if you lose it and get into worry, fretting, and complaining, just repent and get it back. Quit struggling and fighting. Rest and relax in God. The more you fight where you’re at, the more you lose your peace. Being upset makes things worse and you can’t look at the situation calmy and rationally. Instead, use peace to deal with the circumstances you find yourself in. As you stay at peace, you maintain your strength and keep your wits about you to stay calm and deal with whatever you encounter.
If you have the ability and opportunity to improve a situation, do it. But, if not, then be the best you can be where you are. Have faith that God will work something good out of it. And let Him work out of you what He wants to, and allow Him to develop in you what He sees needs to be developed. Don’t fight God and what He is doing in you. Accept what He is doing and , throughout the process, keep your peace. Your situation may be uncomfortable, but keep your peace. Trust God and know that He’s got this.
