Grace, Grace and More Grace!

Grace, Grace and More Grace!

Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee. Isaiah 55:5 (KJV)

If you read verses 1-5 in Isaiah 55, it is an invitation to be saved. I noticed the three 5’s in the chapter and verse, 55:5, and knew that five in biblical numerology represents grace. In this verse, God is saying that for sin, sickness, and spiritual death, there is grace, grace, and more grace. Grace came through Jesus to offer us all a new covenant so we could receive an everlasting covenant through Him.

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. Ephesians 2:13-17 (KJV)

God made us all one in the new covenant that Christ cut at the cross. When His flesh was cut and His blood flowed, it was the cutting of covenant for all to receive the gift of grace. It is the gift of salvation, providing for all of us for all we need. Now we are called a holy nation (I Peter 2:9). We were outside the covenant, but now we are brought in and have covenant with God through Jesus Christ. Our job now is to call all nations to come- come and drink of the Spirit of God and come and eat of Jesus, the Bread of Life.

All are called to come and put faith in Christ and receive all that His sacrifice provided. As God used Israel to reach nations, now God uses all who are in Christ to call the lost to come and be saved. God used Israel, from David, to Christ, to Paul, and now He uses His church. He is using us all to reach all people. It is by God’s grace that it is accomplished. Grace, grace, and more grace- God bestows grace for all we need and all He calls us to be and do. Grace is always abounding for us to be more, do more, and reach more!

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: Romans 1:1-5 (KJV)
