Perspective: Align With God's Viewpoint
It’s been said that perception is reality. In a way that is true, because the way we perceive things will directly affect the kind of life we live. If we perceive that there’s no way out of debt, we won’t even try to get out, therefore we will remain in debt. If we think we’ll never get promoted, it will affect our attitude, which affects our promotability. Do you see how it works? Perception may not actually be reality, but it can become OUR reality.
The good news is that perception, or our perspective, is something we can change. We can adjust how we view things. We need to have a God perspective rather than a natural, or human, perspective. Humans tend to see things based on the circumstances, or the current “facts.” We cannot be swayed by what we see, feel, or hear. We do not live by our senses, but by the truth of the Word of God.
God’s Word says I am blessed. It says I am healed. It says I prosper and that wealth and riches are in my house. It says I have the peace that passes understanding. It tells me that I am not confused, but I have the mind of Christ. It speaks of a good future for me. It tells me that my entire household shall be saved, and so much more! That is truth. It is the God perspective. And I have chosen it as my perspective. Therefore, it is my reality. And it is a victorious reality in which to live.
And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you. Philippians 1:6 (Amplified Bible Classic Edition, AMPC)
You see, I could choose to have a negative outlook. I could look at where I am and then look ahead and see how far I still have to go-and become discouraged. Or I can see how far God has brought me and what I have learned along the way- and I can be encouraged that the Lord who has brought me this far will continue to be with me to grown me and perfect me until the very day He comes. Perspective is everything. Choose to align your viewpoint with God’s today!
